Free Scale Mockup Template
A printable 1/4" = 1'-0" floor plan grid, furniture cutouts, and a step-by-step checklist — no software required.
Before you start
- Measure your room: width and length wall-to-wall, plus ceiling height
- Note the position and width of every door and window, and which way each door swings
- Mark any fixed features — fireplace, radiator, built-ins — that furniture has to work around
- Pick your scale (this template uses 1/4" = 1'-0" — each grid square below equals 1 real foot)
- Draw your room's outline onto the grid using your real measurements
- Mark clearance guides first: 30–36" walkways, 14–18" between sofa and coffee table, 36" behind dining chairs
- Cut out the furniture shapes below and place them inside your clearance lines
- Photograph the finished layout before you commit to an order

Each square = 1 ft × 1 ft of real room at 1/4" = 1'-0" scale. Tape two printed sheets together for rooms larger than roughly 26 × 26 ft.
